Cane River Creole National Historical Park will host the first InstaMeet for local photographers on the social media platform Instagram on Sunday, Aug. 25 from 1-2 p.m. at Oakland Plantation.
“Instagram defines an InstaMeet as a group of Instagrammers meeting up to take photos and videos together,” said Chief of Interpretation Barbara Justice. “This a great opportunity to meet other Instagrammers in the area and have a behind the scenes photo opportunity!”
Join them as they celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Cane River National Heritage Area and the national park, along with the 103rdbirthday of the National Park Service. This park organized the event in collaboration with the Cane River National Heritage Area and the Natchitoches Convention and Visitors Bureau. All photographers are welcome and the event is free. A park ranger will join the InstaMeet photo walk to provide a little history and access to areas not usually open to the public, with plenty of time to explore and take photographs.
