NPSO detectives responded Thursday, Aug. 22 to a residential burglary in the 1500 block of Goldonna Road in Goldonna. Detectives learned forced entry had been gained into the unoccupied residence through a side window.
Detectives met with a family member and while surveying the crime scene discovered physical evidence which was submitted to the crime lab for analysis. As the investigation progressed, detectives obtained information that Sylvia E. Scallion, 42, of the 200 block of Albert Conley Road, Goldonna, was allegedly involved in the burglary. A criminal warrant for her arrest was obtained. Scallion turned herself in to detectives at the Criminal Investigations Division Sept. 5.
She was booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with 1-count of Simple Burglary. She is awaiting bond. Detectives say Scallion admitted to the burglary. Detective C. LaCour was assisted Detective D. Winder in the investigation and arrest.
