Cane River National Heritage Area, Inc. (CRNHA) will host a home school day at Los Adaes State Historic Site Wednesday, Sept. 18.
Throughout the day, students can take a tour of the first capital of Texas. Students will take part in a group “Journey on the El Camino Real” a hands-on activity that allows participants to experience some of the trails of traveling between Los Adaes and San Antonio.
“We’re delighted to host this opportunity for homeschooled families to enjoy all that Los Adaes has to offer,” said Rebecca Blankenbaker, Executive Director of Cane River NHA. “We consistently hear from the families about their enjoyment in spending quality time together at our historic site and learning in a hands-on environment.”
To register for this event, contact Michael Mumaugh at 318-356-5555 by Sept. 13. This event is free and open to the public and will be Sept. 18 at varying times and will last for two hours.
