The Lady Chiefs fell short to the Lady Tigers of Many in a hard-fought volleyball shootout Thursday, Sept. 5. After winning the opening set 25-21 the Lady Tigers rallied to win three consecutive sets to win the series.

After the final set, Coach Nikki Murphy said, “Of course I am disappointed that we lost the series, but with that being said I saw something special in my girls that they did not give up, they continued to fight the entire way and they can only get better as the season goes on.”

Carley Dark, Emma Masson, Bailey Newlee, Lily Zachary, Des Robinson, and Anna-Kate Arthur celebrate after taking the lead during the first set.

With only two seniors on the team, the Lady Chiefs are relying on their younger players to fill the void of experience with athleticism and as the season goes on they will hopefully gain the experience and insight of a veteran player.
