Lakeview keeps rolling, show gators have bite

Following a week one rout of Ringgold, the Lakeview Gators looked to stay on track. In their first home game of the year, Lakeview faced the Northwood Lena Gators Friday, Sept. 13. Looking to make their season record 2-0 off their momentum from last week, the Gators came out guns blazing. Starting on defense, Lakeview not only forced a three and out, but #13 CB Markedious Carter laid down on a fumble to give Lakeview great field position.

Then, just like last week, on the first offensive play of the game, the Gators found the end zone. #2 WR/DB Tevin Hickman, who was expected to have a big game this week, ran for 34 yards to give the Gator’s a 6-0 lead. The 2-point conversion run from #4 QB William Brew pushed the lead to 8-0. Lakeview kept the momentum going on defense when #5 MLB/TE U’donis Jones jumped through Lena’s offensive line after a bad snap to recover yet another fumble. I bet you can’t guess what happened next.
