Friday night, Lakeview Jr/Sr High School friends, family, distinguished guests, elected officials, candidates and school board members Rhonda Guidroz, Eugene Garner and Steven Harris, celebrated the completion of the upgrades to the football field, at a cost of $124,795, and the creation of a state-of-the-art track and field facility, at a cost of $356,300, with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

Lakeview students will host track and field events as well as compete at the local, regional and state level show-casing their talents. With the support of the surrounding communities, families and key stakeholders including the school board members and superintendent, the Natchitoches Parish Consolidated School District #7 Improvement Bond for 7.2 mil was successfully passed. Built in 1992, Lakeview has been an integral part of the Campti community for 27 years.

This is the first time since the school was built that major renovations have occurred. From updated heating and cooling in the buildings to updated lighting and a modernized culinary arts center, Lakeview is preparing students for the future while paying homage to its rich history filled with athletes and academics. We are not finished yet.

By the spring of 2020, Lakeview will have a new baseball complex and a new softball complex.
