This Friday, Sept. 20, the Natchitoches Central Chiefs are on the road again to face off against Lake Charles College Prep, a team with an identical record; 1-1.
The Chiefs are coming off a tough road win against the Many Tigers, a game the Chiefs were in total control of on both offense and defense. The defense forced three turnovers and scored a touchdown, while the offense scored two touchdowns, one by pass and one rushing.
After coming off a game where he rushed for over 100 yards, running back Rodney Robinson is a player expected to make an impact against a team that allows their opponents to score over 20 points a game. The Chiefs’ high-flying defense is also expected to make an impact doing what they do best, creating turnovers and making the opposing offense struggle to find the end zone.
LCCP is coming off a loss where they let their opponent score 54 points. They are ranked 57th in the state. This win could potentially be another great road win for the Chiefs.
The game starts at 7 p.m. in Lake Charles.
