Saint Mary’s returned to the field Friday night after the horrifying loss Friday the 13th. The Tigers were hoping to finally emerge victorious against a North Caddo team that has yet to yield a loss in the series. Both teams brought even records into the contest, Rebels with a one-point victory the previous week and the Tigers, as you know, suffering a 33 – 7 loss. The Rebels were without their starting quarterback and running back and the Tigers were missing their quarterback and linebacker.

Pre-game tailgating had the Tiger faithful chowing on barbecue chicken and sausage while on the field it was a helping of defense. Saint Mary’s received the opening kick on an evening that was pleasantly less hot thanks to a day of rain that abated pre-game. With the opening possession, Saint Mary’s advances to their 39 yard-line and attempts to convert a fourth and one.

Jasen Elie gets the carry and is dropped for a loss of two, Rebels take over on downs.
