Bus issues come to light when parents speak out

Not acceptable.

That was the unanimous consensus among school board members at the committee meeting Tuesday after hearing from two parents and two principals concerning school bus issues. The parents, Shanna Hall and Kelly Kowalsky-Bullard, told the board their children experienced multiple issues with their bus on Eight Mile Loop. Among those are no air conditioning, not being allowed to have bottled water and not being allowed to lower the windows in 90-plus degree heat.

Marthaville Principal Micah Nicholson said his school had issues with no replacement drivers and pickup times.
