Natchitoches ranked as one of the safest cities in Louisiana, reveals study.

Security-based review, comparison and news site, Security Baron, analyzed FBI rankings of crime rates to find out what the top 50 safest cities are in Louisiana, and their safety score. The analysis found that Natchitoches, with a population of 18,284, emerged on the list, with an average safety score of 36.76 and a rate of 11.87 violent crimes per 1,000 citizens.
The city also has a citizen-to-officer ratio of 2.9 per 1,000 people and an average income of $21,579.
Additionally, there are 6,485 households in Natchitoches and a rate of 64.65 property crimes per 1,000 citizens. It was also found that the safest city in Louisiana is Addis, with a safety score of 91.31 and an average income of $68,261.
Addis has a rate of 1.76 violent crimes per 1,000 citizens. The city also has a citizen-to-officer ratio of 2.15 per 1,000 people and there are 1,692 households in Addis on average.
By comparison, it was found that Alexandria ranked last on the list, with a safety score of 18.68 and a median income of $36,997.
The city in Rapides Parish has a rate of 14.42 violent crimes per 1,000 citizens, along with a citizen-to-officer ratio.
