Bill Lewallen, 82, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away Oct. 6, 2019. He was born Aug. 17, 1937, in Springdale, Ark., to Gordon Wayne and Clara (Sailor) Lewallen.
Bill was a member of Grand Avenue United Methodist Church and was active in various ministries including the Noahs of Arkansas Emmaus Community. He enjoyed a 30 year career working in all areas of the poultry industry.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Lewallen of Hot Springs; sons, Jerry Lewallen (Pitty) of Jasper, Ga., and Doug Lewallen (Connie) of Natchitoches; daughter, Kristy Smith (Delous) of Destrehan; brother, Dick Lewallen (Betty) of Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Kyle Lewallen (Caroline) and Baylee Smith.
A celebration of Bill’s life will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 10 at Grand Avenue United Methodist Church in Hot Springs with the Rev. David Fleming officiating. Burial will follow at 4 p.m. at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale, Ark.
Honorary pallbearers are the members of the Strivers Sunday School Class and the Wednesday morning Outreach Crew.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that a contribution be made to the Grand Avenue United Methodist Church’s Table of Grace Ministry.
