District Judge Desiree Duhon Dyess has set a hearing at 9 a.m., Oct. 30, for Pit Stop 76 LLC to respond to a suit filed against the business for non-payment of sales and occupational taxes. Jason Brock is the registered agent for Pit Stop 76.

The suit, Natchitoches Tax Commission versus Pit Stop 76 LLC, was filed Oct 11 by Mark Begnaud and Erika F. Cedars, attorneys for the tax commission. The suit alleges that Pit Stop 76 on Hwy 6 failed or refused to file returns and remit payments on multiple occasions.

It seeks a judgment in favor of the tax commission prohibiting further business until the owner has paid the delinquent tax, interest, penalties and costs. The suit asks for a judgment if the owner does not file and answer within 15 days after receiving the suit.
