The Saint Mary’s Tiger football team took to the road last Friday to match up against the Logansport Tigers. Logansport, undefeated in district was not dissuaded by the weather to remain unblemished. The weather was the same dreary constant misting rain and windy for both teams. Saint Mary’s has been in position to win several close games this year but has been unable to emerge on top.
Would this be another close game or a statement by Logansport that they remain the team to beat in district 3-1A? Saint Mary’s took the opening kick and had a good return by Graeme Fidelak to the 40 to start the game.
Andrew Godfrey has a great run to the Logansport 40 but coughs up the ball and the host Tigers recover. The slippery ball finds its way back to St. Mary’s a few plays later when Fidelak steps in front a pass and takes the interception to the Logansport 38. The ensuing drive progresses to the 30 before the fumble bug bites again and Logansport recovers. A long run follows …..
