Spoil Red River’s special night

The latest installment of the Lakeview-Red River rivalry took place Saturday, Oct. 26 after the game was pushed from Friday due to rain. The past few games in this rivalry have gone in favor of the Bulldogs.

This year was expected to be no different, with Red River ranked #2 in the state, but this would be an entirely different ballgame to add to the resume.

The Bulldogs received the opening kickoff, but wouldn’t be the team to snap the ball first. Red River fumbled the kickoff during the return, which was quickly recovered by Lakeview.

Lakeview looked good on this opening drive. Stamped by a long reception from #4 QB William Brew to #1 WR/DB Jordan Hardy, the Gators worked their way down to the 5-yard line. It looked like Lakeview would strike first when Brew would throw a pass to the right sideline…
