Early voting in the Registrar of Voters office will begin Saturday, Nov. 2 through Saturday, Nov. 9 from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m. Closed Sunday. Absentee voting by mail is intended for voters who will be out of the parish on election day and the wee of early voting, or if the person is over 65 or has a mobility impaired ID card. Deadline to make a written request for an absentee ballot by mail is Tuesday, Nov. 12 at 4:30 p.m. Written request forms can be downloaded at www.sos.la.gov under “Elections” click on “vote” link, click on “vote by mail.”
Ballots must be returned to the Registrar of Voters office by mail by 4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15. Military and overseas ballots must be returned to the Registrar of Voters office by mail or fax before noon on election day.
