Gators make last minute comeback, win 3rd straight game

Following back to back wins, the Lakeview Gators looked to keep the ball rolling in a road trip to the Bunkie Panthers Friday, Nov. 1. A win would be huge in the Gators push for a home playoff game coming up in two weeks.

Bunkie received the opening kickoff and started with good movement, small runs and quick passes, attacking the Gators early. A tipped pass by a Panther receiver went in the air and was caught by #2 WR/DB Tevin Hickman, giving the Gators good field position on their first possession.

The Gators couldn’t get any momentum though, causing a turnover on downs. Lakeview defense would come up big once more, when with 5:49 left in the first, #1 WR/DB Jordan Hardy jumped on a loose football and took possession.

Lakeview got a few big plays on this drive and moved into Panther territory, but…
