Saint Mary’s returned home for senior night on Halloween after a tough loss on the road to district leading Logansport the previous week in cold, wet conditions.
The cool temperatures prevailed for the All Saints Day game, but the on-field play resembled poor field conditions again. Montgomery defeated Saint Mary’s last year at home in overtime and had visions of a jack-o-lantern full of touchdowns.
Saint Mary’s won the coin toss and elected to defer to the second half. Montgomery would be poised to receive the opening kick-off, but Saint Mary’s had trickery up their sleeve.
