Natchitoches Parish Fire Department displayed the Magnificent American Flag during the event.
The annual Slice of Thanks, a pizza lunch showing appreciation for local first responders, was Monday, Nov. 4 at First United Methodist Church’s Family Life Center. Over 90 guests were served throughout the event. A Slice of Thanks, Natchitoches, was sponsored by Louie’s Pizza of Many, the Lions Club of Natchitoches and Thrivent Financial Action Teams.
Veterans, active duty military personnel, firefighters, law enforcement officers and first responders in Natchitoches Parish were served a complimentary pizza lunch and beverages. Louie’s Pizza, LLC was founded by Michele and Louis Smith of Many who desired to start a mobile food business that brought Michele’s Italian heritage and love for pizza to Louisiana, while at the same time using that mobility to give back to communities across the state.
Wooden flags were purchased and sponsored by Louie’s Pizza and Prayer, Inc. of Many and Thrivent Financial Action Teams. The above mentioned first responders were entered in a free drawing for a chance to win a flag specific to their line of duty. The flags were made by Fly End Custom Flags.
