The Natchitoches Parish School Board has begun its search for a superintendent who will replace Dale Skinner when he retires in June of next year.
At the board meeting Nov. 7, board attorney Robert Hammonds outlined the steps the board can follow to make that selection. The only two mandated requirements are that the board advertise the position twice in the legal journal, The Natchitoches Times, and once in a larger nearby newspaper; and the board cannot hire a superintendent until 30 days after the last advertisement.
