President Donald Trump made a stop Thursday, Nov. 14 in Louisiana. He landed at Barksdale Air Force Base in Air Force 1, then travelled to CenturyLink Center for a rally. The Center was at maximum capacity, over 14,000, and some were turned away once capacity was reached. JT learned quickly there were numerous supporters from around the parish, area, state, and beyond attending the rally.
JT asked a couple if the long wait, hours in cold, damp conditions, to hear the President speak was worth it.
“I didn’t have to stand in line long at all. I didn’t get up there until a little after 5 p.m. I had a to walk a good country mile though. When he finally made his appearance the feeling was surreal. I couldn’t believe that I was looking at our President! It was a once in a lifetime experience that I’m glad I got the chance to attend,” said Keirsten Alexander of Coushatta. “It was definitely worth standing in line. The atmosphere was amazing!! You could just feel the love and excitement for our country!!” said Michelle Gardner of Fairview Alpha.
JT heard from several people that the best thing to do to make a difference in this country is to go vote. It’s your voice, your choice and your right.
JT urges everyone to cast their ballot Saturday.
Well, by Sunday we think we will will know who won the election. JT feels if it is close at all, which it will be, it’ll be contested! There are too many big bucks on each side not to have a recount of some type. There is even a President’s reputation at stake! The interesting thing to JT is that it’s the President’s reputation against the amount of money that changed hands. Whatever, the one thing for sure is that all the political ads on television will disappear. Now we will get our fill of “Mr. Pillow” ads again. JT sort of missed the pillows the past couple of months.
