The arbor bench, built by Larry Vaughn, Rodney Williams and Tyler Williams won reserve grand champion in woodworking.

Both items qualified for the live auction, bringing in a total of $3,100; wagon wheel bench sold for $1,200 and the arbor bench sold for $1,900. Favela, Tyler Williams, Rodney Williams, Vaughn, Humphries and a few other individuals that also made contributions, built these items in David Yount’s agriculture classes.

These projects provided opportunities for students to learn skills in planning, estimating, metal cutting, arc welding and safely constructing a project using modern tools and techniques.
