Nineteen people spoke to the school board about the qualities they want in a new superintendent when the board hosted a forum Tuesday at the NSU Middle Lab School. The meeting was part of the board’s search for a superintendent who will replace Dale Skinner when he retires in June of 2020.
At the board meetings Dec. 3 and Dec. 5, the board will use the comments to determine what qualifications will go into advertisements.
There was a common theme among the many remarks at the meeting with several wanting someone with vision, who is inspirational and will have transparency. A majority of the speakers were products of the Natchitoches Parish School System with either children or grandchildren …
