Make a difference in the lives of dogs and cats during this season of giving at the Natchitoches Animal Control Shelter’s Tales to Tails program. Anyone can come to the shelter, located on Fairgrounds Road, Tuesday, Nov. 26 from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and help socialize the furry residents of the shelter.

The more socialization these animals get, the greater the chance of them getting adopted. In the past, this event has helped dogs and cats find their homes by the time the holidays roll around!

The Natchitoches Parish Library will be sending the bookmobile so there will be reading material available. You may also bring treats and toys as a donation as well. If you can’t make it and would like to donate something, the shelter is always in need of doghouses, blankets, toys, treats and dog food. This event is appropriate for all ages, so come share your favorite book and enjoy visiting with these furry friends!
