Knights of Columbus donate jackets to school children

Natchitoches Knights of Columbus gave eight dozen new jackets to students at Provencal Elementary/Jr. High. On first row from left are Lindsay Broxson, Jaliyah Jackson, John Mason, Christian Carter, Jett Freeman and Hayden George. On second row are Trevor Rials, Nataiya Johnson, Ayiana Bynog and Abigail Broxson. On third row are Todd Thompson, Haley Green, Gracie Montoya and Dillon Johnson. On fourth row are Principal Mary Yount, Knights Joe Roque and Chad Deranger, Coach Wayne Poe and Knights Red Laperouse and John Scott.

The Natchitoches Knights of Columbus donated 366 new jackets to three area schools, L. P. Vaughn Elementary, Weaver Elementary and Provencal Elementary/Jr. High.

The Knights, through funds generated from their weekly bingo, purchased 14 dozen jackets. Because of their charitable work, they were recognized by the Supreme Council that matched their purchase.

The Natchitoches Knights of Columbus used proceeds from their bingo games to buy coats for school kids. They gave eight dozen coats to students at Weaver Elementary. On back row are Coordinator Armetrice Williams, Assistant Principal Jeremy Martin, KC members Joe Roque, Mark Adkins, Chad Deranger, Red Laperouse, John Scott, Mike Menou and Principal Jennifer Martin.

Twelve dozen jackets went to L. P. Vaughn, eight dozen went to Weaver and eight dozen went to Provencal. The jackets were in various sizes and colors and were left at the school for distribution by the school to needy students.
