“Here Comes Christmas” is this year’s spectacular Christmas celebration presented by First Baptist Church of Natchitoches, which can be seen Friday, Dec. 13 at 6 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 15 at 6 p.m. at the church. Another performance will be Saturday, Dec. 14 at 2:30pm on the downtown riverbank.
For over 25 years, First Baptist has been lighting up the City of Lights with its annual Christmas concert, featuring songs of the season, Christmas Carols and spectacular arrangements of new Christmas songs. This year’s program includes an original script by Kim Shoumaker, and is a sequel to last year’s story as presented in “The Joy of Christmas.” This heart-warming story is sure to help get you in the Christmas spirit and to help make this a Christmas to remember. The program is approximately one hour in length and is suitable for ages 3 to 93.
“Here Comes Christmas” will feature a children’s nativity, a short drama between the songs, full orchestra, a 50-voice adult choir and a 50-voice children’s choir.
The performances at First Baptist Church are free to attend and armbands ($6) for ages 12 and up are required for the riverbank performance Dec. 14.
