Gayle Anderson Swanstrom was born and raised in Utah where she met her husband of 55 years, Harry Wallace Swanstrom. From there, they began their lifelong adventure raising their children and studying in Utah, Arizona, Wyoming, California and Dallas. She was the first in her family to graduate from college with an MIS degree from UT Dallas in 1977.
After their children were grown, their careers in the computer industry took them to England, Belgium, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, South Africa, Australia and other locales. Gayle and Wally loved traveling and seeing the world, but more than anything else, they loved their family.
Gayle and Wally retired to Natchitoches in 2004 to be closer to their family.
Gayle is survived by her sons, Bill and his wife Janet of Houston, Troy and his wife Paty of Mexico City and Mark and his wife Laura of Natchitoches; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; sister, LuDean; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Harry Wallace Swanstrom; parents Ivan and Eria Anderson; and brother, Larry Anderson.
