The Natchitoches Police Department has arrested Jaleel Tousant, Jessie James Petite Jr. and Daerieon Latchie for the double homicide that occurred on Short Seventh Street.
On Feb. 2, NPD was notified by the Monroe Police Department that Latchie had surrendered himself to them in reference to the arrest warrant for the double homicide on Short Seventh Street.
On Feb. 5 at 11:01 a.m., NPD investigators located Tousant in the 500 block of North Street. The Natchitoches S.W.A.T. Team was notified and Tousant was arrested without incident along with three family members.
Shortly after Tousant was placed under arrest, Petite Jr., turned himself in at the NPD and was arrested without incident.
Tousant, b/m, 22, Petite Jr., b/m, 21 and Latchie, b/m, 17, all of Natchitoches are each charged with two counts of First-Degree Murder and two counts of Attempted First- Degree Murder.
Colin Smith, b/m, 26, Catherine Tousant, b/f, 51, and Kanishia Tousant, b/f, 19, all of Natchitoches are each charged with Accessory After the Fact to First Degree-Murder for harboring Tousant at their residence.
The Natchitoches Police Department will release more details as they become available.
