The Natchitoches Parish Library’s (NPL) Main Branch in Natchitoches and Northeast Branch (NEB) in Campti are pleased to announce curbside pickup service for the COVID-19 crisis, effective immediately. Cardholders can now resume checking out materials including DVDs, books, magazines, Playaways, and books on CD. Patron’s must not have lost or damaged item charges on their account to use this service. Those without a library card may register at natlib.org under “How Do I?” and “Register for a library card?”. Curbside pickup will be available at the Main Branch and NEB, Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Curbside checkout will not be available for Wi-Fi devices. However, laptops can be checked out with a valid photo ID for use in the library’s parking lot. Laptops may be checked out for this purpose up until 5 pm and must be returned before 5:30 p.m. Users will receive their IDs upon return of the laptop.
Curbside faxing, printing, and copying services will also be offered at this time. Sending of faxes will be free, however, faxes cannot be received for patrons. Prints and copies will be free for up to 25 pages. Longer documents cannot be printed for curbside service. Documents may be sent to email@example.com for printing. Please indicate which branch you will be picking up at and include a phone number. Patrons may come to the parking lot entrance to request any of these services.
To make a phone request for pickup, patrons should call the Main Branch at 318-238-9224 and the NEB at 318-476-3280 or email firstname.lastname@example.org. Patrons must include their library card number, address, and date of birth with any request, to verify their identity. Available items will be pulled and checked out and be available for pick up at the requests library’s parking lot entrance. Patrons are asked to call the appropriate number above for a staff member to bring out his or her materials, open their trunk or passenger door, and then return to their vehicle to minimize interaction for everyone’s safety.
