DeMontre Jackson wanted for attempted 2nd-degree murder

The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Thursday, May 14 around 6:22 p.m. on July Street near Hill Street.

As NPD officers arrived witnesses stated DeMontre Jackson, the suspect, got into an argument with another individual and pulled out a gun. The individual then hid behind his vehicle as he was being shot at. After the first shot, he fled the area on foot while being shot at multiple times. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Jackson, b/m, 26, of Natchitoches for Attempted Second-Degree Murder.
