MARGARET ‘SUE’ METOYER

702

CHICAGO, IL

Sept. 27, 1934 – May 7, 2020

Margaret “Sue” Metoyer, 85, of Chicago, Ill., formerly of Cloutierville, was a loving and devoted wife of nearly 65 years to Edward “Evan”; mother to Bryan (Kathleen), Lisa (Brian) Trishman and the late Scott; grandma to Jason andfiancé Kristen, and Megan; sister to Leona (Roy) LaCour and the late Earl Joseph Rachal; aunt to many and dear friend to many more.

Born Margaret Rachal Sept. 27, 1934, to Louis T. and Leoda Rachal, she is now in heaven with so many loved ones that passed before her.

Everyone who met her loved her, her smile and her joy for life. She adored the many friends she made while working at grocery stores. Her best friends Dorothy, Irene and Mickey enjoyed trips where they laughed and loved each other so much. The job her kids loved to tease her about was one she held at Playboy…as a telephone operator. We’d say, ‘Dad, you old dog’. She would smile and giggle.

She enjoyed traveling all over the US then in retirement to Canada, Hawaii, Italy. She loved to garden, sew, bake, laugh and dance, oh, how she loved to dance with Evan. There is nothing she wouldn’t do for her family. Her family was her life and she made no qualms about it. We love you so much, Mom.

Services and Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N. Michigan Ave. 17th. Floor, Chicago, IL 60601 or www.alz.org.
