Peaceful Protests in Natchitoches

Protests have broken out in all 50 states following the death of George Floyd May 25 in Minneapolis during an arrest. Natchitoches witnessed its own peaceful protest demonstrations Tuesday, June 2. A large crowd gathered at City Park, then marched to the riverbank stage. Protesters chanted “No Justice, No Peace,” “I Can’t Breathe,” “Let Us Live” and “Black Lives Matter” while holding signs. The demonstration remained peaceful throughout.
