Reports of suspicious activity by concerned citizens in Campti recently led to the arrest of a Red River Parish man on felony drug and probation violation charges.
On Friday, June 5 at approximately 11:25 p.m., deputies stopped a 2013 Ford Escape on Mill Street in Campti after receiving complaints.
Deputies identified the operator of the vehicle as 39-year-old Johnathan Bonnette of
Deputies learned while speaking with the operator, Johnathan Bonnette, 39, that his driver’s license was suspended and he was on felony probation.
Deputies say Bonnette admitted to having drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
During a search of Bonnette’s person, deputies seized suspected methamphetamine and marijuana.
Bonnette, of the 1400 block of Hwy 787, Coushatta, was placed under arrest charged with Possession of CDS I Marijuana, Possession of CDS Schedule II Methamphetamine and Probation Violation.
Bonnette remains in the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center with a probation hold.
The evidence will submitted to the crime lab for analysis.
