Billie Charlene Norsworthy, 73, of Natchitoches joined our Savior’s angels July 1, 2020.

She was born Aug. 20,1946, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Leo Johnson and Jewell Lee Johnson.

Billie was preceded in death by her parents and  niece, Stephanie Shrode.

Billie was an active member and loved to worship at Provencal Free Methodist Church. Billie was so talented in arts and crafts with beautiful handwriting. She loved to tend to her flowers and was an excellent cook sharing with her family the recipes learned from her father and grandparents.  Billie could cause hysterics with a calculated look or a word.  She was our family historian, being the go-to person for birthdates, marriages and passing.  Billie, with her unique sense of what to do, was a person that everyone wanted to get to know better.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Wayne Norsworthy of Natchitoches; her adored son, Rodney Brister of Leesville; three sisters, Jewell Laverne Gibbins of San Antonio, Texas, Gwendalyn Burley of Longview, Wash., and her beloved “Sissy” Yvette (Doug) Davis of Longview, Wash.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
