Ali Landry Named Executive Director of LSMSA Foundation

The Louisiana School for Math, Science, and the Arts Foundation is pleased to announce the hire of Ali Landry, CFRE, as its new executive director.  As a high-performing fundraising executive with more than a decade of experience in higher education and nonprofit philanthropy, Ali brings a wealth of knowledge that will be invaluable to the LSMSA Foundation. “We are thrilled to have Ali at the helm of the Foundation and can’t wait to see what’s to come,” said Steve Horton, executive director of LSMSA. “Her wealth of knowledge and experience combined with her passion for development and education are sure to be a win-win for both the Foundation and the school.”

Landry is well-versed in all aspects of a comprehensive development program – annual giving, major gifts, planned giving, corporate and foundation relations, capital campaigns, stewardship, donor relations, and management of both staff and volunteers. In her most recent role with the LSU Foundation, Ali led a multi-unit fundraising team throughout the planning and public launch of LSU’s $1.5 billion capital campaign, the largest and most far-reaching advancement campaign ever initiated for higher education in the history of Louisiana.

Landry is a graduate of Louisiana State University where she studied Public Relations and Business Administration. Originally from the New Orleans area, she lives in Baton Rouge with her husband and daughter. Unlike any other high school in the state, LSMSA is uniquely positioned to offer students a challenging and robust educational experience with the added benefit of Foundation support.

“I believe in the power of philanthropy and the transformative impact it can have on our students and faculty,” said Landry. “I am proud to be joining a team with such strong leadership and look forward to working with LSMSA alumni, parents, and valued community stakeholders to advance the Foundation’s mission and impact.” Mary Ellen Slayter, president of the LSMSA Foundation’s Board of Trustees and a 1995 graduate of LSMSA, said the Board was impressed with Landry’s passion for education and collaborative leadership style.  “The Foundation is confident in Ali’s energy and strategic acumen as we help elevate LSMSA’s opportunities to grow and build on its past successes.”
