Elaine Warner, 76, of Jasper, Texas, passed away in Lufkin, Texas, Saturday, Aug. 15, 2020, of natural causes. A Celebration of Life Service will be Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 3 p.m. at the Jasper County Cowboy Church with interment at West Oaks Cemetery.
Elaine was born Dec. 7, 1943, in Campti to Claudie and Maggie Pate Giddens. A loving housewife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, she was a life-long resident of Jasper.
Elaine had a quick wit accompanied by a broad smile and always “kept things stirred up” at any gathering. She followed her husband, Joe, to numerous locations during his career as a pipeliner, always by his side.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Joe H. Warner, whom she married June 1, 1963; sons, Gary Warner and wife Delores of Jasper and Steven Warner and wife Stacy of Brookeland, Texas; brothers, Richard Giddens and wife Billie Karen “Mike” of Huntington, Texas, and Douglas Giddens and wife Dale of Ebenezer Community, Texas; sisters, Opal Gray of Fairview Alpha and Faye Ward and husband Vernon of Ebenezer Community; grandchildren, Jodie, Kyle, Brodey, Brantley and Amie; great-grandchildren Fallon, Case and Cash; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Louie Giddens; and sister, Shirley Burns.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
