Mr. Robert “Bob” Koll, 73, passed away March 24, 2020, at Live Oak Nursing Facility after a lengthy illness. An interment with military honors will be Friday, Sept. 4 at 10 a.m. at the Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery. Mr. Koll was a native of Fort Sill, Okla., and a resident of Natchitoches for 40 years.

He was a graduate of Northwestern State University. He was a Captain in the U.S. Army having served in Vietnam as a pilot and worked in the aviation business.

Mr. Koll was preceded in death by his parents, Edna and Cornelius Koll; and a sister, Connie Newcomb. He is survived by his son, Brent Koll and wife, Nicole; son, Brian Koll; daughter, Ashley Hollier and husband, Shannon; grandchildren, Addison Koll, Piper Koll, Breanna Koll and Jacques Hollier.

The family requests that memorials be made in lieu of flowers to the American Lung Association.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Willis-Knighton Pierremont and Dr. Jennifer Prime; the staffs at Live Oak Nursing Facility and Regional Hospice; and lifelong friends, Jim Young, John Livingston, Shirley Ross and John Thomas.
