A Campti man suffered moderate injuries in a single-vehicle crash on La. Hwy 480 near Campti on Monday evening according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
On Monday evening Sept. 14 at approximately 8:31 p.m., NATCOM 911 Center received a 911 call reporting a single-vehicle crash involving injuries on La. Hwy 480 east of Campti.
Deputies assigned to the NPSO Patrol Division, Louisiana State Police and Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS responded to the scene.
Shortly after units arrived on the scene, they discovered the operator of the vehicle had been ejected.
Air Evac helicopter was requested.
Deputies say 38-year-old Troy R. Anslem Jr. of Campti operating a 2013 Nissan pickup truck was traveling westbound on La. Hwy 480 when he apparently exited the roadway on the left side, crossing over a driveway, then traveled through a ditch striking a large tree.
The vehicle then overturned coming to a rest on its top on La. Hwy 480.
Anslem was ejected from the vehicle.
Anslem was airlifted from the scene by Air Evac to Rapides Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries that are believed to be non-life threatening.
Troopers assigned to LSP Troop-E Alexandria worked the crash.
