School Board launches Network Natchitoches, providing students with free Internet access

Due to COVID-19, Natchitoches Parish Schools have transitioned into a virtual learning environment for the 2020-21 school year. Natchitoches Parish is the largest parish in Louisiana and has many rural areas without access to Internet. Without access to Internet, students will not be able to login to Google Classroom to complete assignments.

NPSB has partnered with local businesses and locations across Natchitoches Parish to provide students with free Internet access. These locations offer free Wi-Fi hotspots which students can connect to while sitting in the parking lot. Students will be able to login to the Wi-Fi on their school issued device and download/upload their class assignments.

NPSB Technology has created a map with the locations offering free Wi-Fi hotspots across Natchitoches Parish. Parents can find the map on NPSB’s website at

NPSB is looking for more businesses to add to the map. If you know of any locations across the district that are willing to allow students to connect to their Wi-Fi,  contact NPSB District Communications Manager Chynna Paris at
