N-Club Hall of Famer Marcus Spears and the Food Bank of Central Louisiana have partnered again for their second food giveaway of the semester.

Doing so with assistance from Omega Psi Phi fraternity in honor of the late Craig Ryan, an N-Club board member who passed away in late September, Spears and the Northwestern State football and men’s basketball teams will help distribute the contents from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. on Friday.

This event is open to residents of Natchitoches Parish and will take place at the Collins Pavilion on the NSU campus. The first food drive, held Sept. 16, fed 322 families from the parish.

As was the case in September, goods will be distributed in drive-thru fashion with recipients needing to provide photo identification. There are no income restrictions to receive any distributed food, which will include non-perishable items as well as some fresh produce and additional frozen items.
