Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Detectives are actively investigating allegations of child abuse in the Goldonna community according to Natchitoches Parish Sheriff Stuart Wright.

On Friday, Oct. 30, two Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services investigators requested a Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputy accompany them while they investigated a hotline complaint in reference to a juvenile at a home in Goldonna.

Following the home visit, State DCFS started an independent investigation into the matter.

Later that evening, NPSO was contacted by an unidentified source in reference to the same matter.

Videos of the alleged juvenile victim were posted and shared on social media platforms.

Since that time, NPSO detectives have been reviewing video for authenticity, interviewing witnesses and obtaining other confidential records.

Juvenile investigative matters are confidential and case sensitive. Names of victims or any type of material, images, videos, etc. should not be distributed or discussed by state law.

The review and investigation into the alleged complaint is ongoing and confidential at this time.
