Guidelines in place for Lakeview basketball

Basketball season for the Lakeview Gators has finally arrived. With this very unique season underway, there will be some very unique guidelines set in place for games held at Lakeview.

Lakeview Home Game COVID-19 Guidelines 

Entrance 

* All parties will enter through the eastside entrance closest to the parking lot and have temperature checked before entering building.

* If there is a line, social distancing is required.

* Anyone with a 100.4 or higher will not be permitted to enter.

* Players will enter through the main office entrance where all will have temperature check before entering the building. (Head coaches will be responsible for checking)

o If a student athlete temperature is higher than 100.4 the opposing team coach will have to provide accommodations for the student as he/she will not be permitted to enter. (multi-purpose may by used for an isolation point)

*  Attendance will be 50% of the gym capacity which is a total of 500 people with a maximum fan count of 400. Visiting team will be reserved 132 tickets which is 33% of the capacity as required by the LHSAA.

* Fans will be required to wear face covering while in the building. If the face covering is removed the fan will be asked once to cover face and the second attempt the fan will be asked to leave the premises.

During game play 

* Fans will be required to wear face covering while in the building. If the face covering is removed the fan will be asked once to cover face and the second attempt the fan will be asked to leave the premises.

* The team bench areas will be the first three rows of the bleachers with an empty row and the remainder of the area reserved for the team awaiting play.

* Spectators will not be allowed in the bench area (east side of gym)

* Fans will only sit on the west side of the gym and will adhere to social distance by household. Players will be restricted to wander about the gym and remain seated in assigned area.

* The official table area will be sectioned off by orange rails and reserved for administration or administration designees only.

* The official table area will be limited to essential personnel which includes home team scorer and timer.

* The officials at the table will be required to wear face covering during the entirety of the game contest(s)

* Water fountains will be disconnected.

* Official clock keeper and the book keeper will be provided sanitizer to sanitize the game ball in between quarters, as well as the official table.

Exit 

* All doors will be exits and no socializing after the game. Everyone will be asked to leave and the rides of the players will have to wait outside in vehicles.

o No player will be released until the gym is clear and safe for the players to leave without sacrificing social distancing.

* The gym will be sanitized by all the coaches after players and fans are dispersed

o Door handles

o Game balls

o Locker rooms

o Team bleacher Area

o Fan area

o Game clock

o Admission table

Tournament 

* Game schedule will alternate between the two gyms so that all above can be followed.

o Game 1,3,5, & 7 will be in the high school gym

o Game 2,4,6, & 8 will be in the Jr. high gym

* Coaches will be asked to sanitize in between each game

* Teams will be allowed to enter but must remain in their perspective gym of play

* There will be no hospitality room (multi-purpose room is isolation point)

These guidelines will be strictly enforced for the entire season, to ensure the safety of the players, coaches, and everyone in the building. We would hate to see the Gators season get ruined, and only you can prevent that. So, even with these in place, we will ask you to come out every week and support your Gators!
