Funeral services for Ret. Lt Col. Joyce Arnold will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28 at New Life Evangelism Center of Natchitoches with Bro. Dennis Bjornberg officiating. Burial with military honors to follow at American Cemetery in Natchitoches under the direction of Blanchard-St. Denis Funeral Home.
Joyce was a native of Provencal. She retired as a Lt. Col. with the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and Gulf War. She loved God, Country and family and was very proud of her patriotic duty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris Uldee Arnold and Eurilda Blanch Wyble Arnold; her twin brother, Jimmy; twin sisters, Judy and Eddie Jean; half-brother, Glen Morris; and half-sister, Myrna Payne.
She is survived by her sister, Frances Norsworthy; brother, Bert Arnold; half-brother, Carlton Morris; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers include Morris Arnold, Robert Arnold, Marc Norsworthy, Ralph Dowden, Jeff Tarpley, Kolton Norsworthy, Kayne Rachal and Rodney Boswell.
