At 7:37 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, multiple units from Natchitoches Parish Fire District #6, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS and Natchitoches City Fire were on the scene of a structure fire at the Oak Grove Apartments in the Oak Grove community.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
One elderly person is reportedly suffering from smoke inhalation and three-to-four are suffering from injuries sustained after jumping out of a second floor window according to units on the scene.
The fire is contained.
The injured were transported by EMS and private vehicle to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Louisiana State Fire Marshal Investigators have been contacted to assist in the fire investigation.
