Lakeview 64 / East Iberville 50
Lakeview kicked off their annual Mac Braxton Tournament over Thanksgiving weekend, and the Lady Gators started their week off with a game against the East Iberville Tigers. The Tigers had a big win against Jonesboro-Hodge Monday night, so they were hot coming into the game. The Tigers put the first points up on the board when they sunk two free throws. Then the Lady Gators kicked it into gear.
Zenobia Poydras started it off with a nice bucket as she bullied her way in the post, then on the next possession Timberly Washington hit a nice mid range jumper. The Tigers got a steal and followed with a fast break bucket. Then the Fisher sisters got their first points when Jameisha nailed a three followed by Janaiya driving her way inside and getting a nice layup. East Iberville followed with back-to-back scores in the paint and this really put the Lady Gators in full send. Little Fisher and Poydras made one free throw in back-to-back trips to the line, followed by a three from Washington.
Big Fisher finished off the quarter pulling up from deep and draining it to give the Gators a 17-8 lead at the end of the first. The second quarter was a back and forth, blow for blow start. Though the Lady Gators kept the lead close to double digits, they racked up a foul in four of five straight possessions. Janaiya Fisher scored 10 points in the second quarter to keep Lakeview solid with a 35-25 lead at the half. The second half began with good domination from Jameisha when she hit back-to-back threes.

But the Tigers went on a 9-2 run to close the gap. Thankfully a strong push at the end of the third kept the Gators ahead 49-36 come the final quarter. Another strong quarter from Little Fisher and an 8-2 run at the end of the game gave the Lady Gators a win with a final score of 64-50. The player of the game definitely has to go to #3 Janaiya Fisher, who finished the night with a game high 28 points and pushed her team to a 3-0 record.
