At approximately 3:59 a.m. Friday, Dec. 4, NPSO deputies, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS, Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #7 and NPSO Rescue responded to 911 reports of a single-vehicle crash involving an ice vending machine on La. Hwy 6 West in the City Limits of Robeline according to the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the preliminary investigation revealed Devin Reynolds, 21, of Mandeville was operating a 2018 Honda Civic traveling westbound on La. Hwy 6 West when, for reasons still under investigation, entered a curve then left the roadway on the right side and travelled several feet before striking the “The Ice Bucket” ice vending machine.
Reynolds received minor injuries and refused EMS transport at the scene.
The owner of the ice vending machine was notified.
NPSO deputies worked the crash.
