Wade was born Dec. 3, 1951, and passed away Dec. 4, 2020.
He married Rhonda Sue Friday Jan. 12, 1973; from this union they had two children, Rhonette Michelle Ebert and Casey Wade Ebert. Wade and Rhonda shared a caring and loving relationship based on mutual support and deep love for each other.
Wade was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Cecil Ebert and Evelyn Cox Ebert.
He is survived by Rhonda, his wife of 47 years; brothers, Alan Ebert and wife Debbie, and Douglas Ebert and wife Kathy; as well as a very special friend that he loved and thought of as a son, Kevin Gourdon and wife Tracy; along with several nieces and nephews.
Wade was a good father who was wonderfully devoted to his two children, Rhonette and husband Rich, and Casey and wife Lana. He was a loving and proud PawPaw to his grandchildren, Kristen Alia Sonnier, Emily Michelle Sonnier, Cody Wade Ebert, Elizabeth Hightower and Autumn Hightower.
Wade Ebert loved law enforcement; he served 26 years honorably as a deputy sheriff and criminal investigator for the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office. Lt. Ebert was a member of the NPSO Rescue Team, a member of Natchitoches Parish Fire Protection District #9, later becoming a board member; he also served as a Hunter’s Safety course instructor. Wade was very active and respected in his community.
After retirement, Wade changed directions and began working in the Oil and Gas Industry as a Pipeline Safety Coordinator for 10 years. This work allowed him to travel to several northern and western states with his pipeline family. Wade had a long-standing relationship with God and was very blessed with his faith to his dying breath.
