Natchitoches Christmas dedicated the Christmas Festival fireworks Dec. 5 in memory of the late Judy Sluppick who reigned as the very first Miss Merry Christmas in 1956. Sluppick loved to ride in the parade and commemorate her great honor. Her legacy will live on each year as we celebrate the Season and continue the tradition of the Miss Merry Christmas program.
