Northshore man arrested for child exploitation

Attorney General Jeff Landry announced Dec. 7 that his Cyber Crime Unit made an internet crimes against children arrest in St. Tammany Parish.

“My Cyber Crime Unit continues to work tirelessly to investigate and arrest those producing, possessing, or distributing sexaul absue images and vidoes of children,” said AG Landry. “We will not waver in doing all that we legally can to protect Louisiana’s children.”

Benjamin Terranova, 70, of Mandeville, was arrested and charged with 50 counts of Pornography Involving Juveniles Under the Age of 13 (possession) and two counts of  Pornography Involving Juveniles Under the Age of 13 (distribution).

The arrest was a result of a joint investigation with the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation, Homeland Security Investigations and St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Terranova was booked into the St. Tammany Parish Jail.
