NPD arrests juveniles for terrorizing phone calls Christmas Festival night

The Natchitoches Police Department is investigating several terrorizing phone calls that led to the arrest of two juveniles.
On Dec. 5 around 6:47 p.m., officers responded to a restaurant on University Parkway in reference to a phone call they received about an individual threatening to “shoot the place up.”
A few minutes later around 6:50 p.m., NPD was contacted by another restaurant on South Drive in reference to receiving a phone call from an individual threatening to “come into the place and start shooting.”
The final phone call NPD received was around 7:15 p.m. from a business on Keyser Avenue in reference to a bomb being in the parking lot.
NPD detectives located the residence where the terrorizing phone calls were being made and with the assistance of the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office, placed two juveniles under arrest.
The juveniles are charged with three counts of Terrorizing and one count of Communicating of False Information of Planned Arson.
Terrorizing and Communicating of False Information of Planned Arson are both felonies and carry a maximum prison sentence of not more than 15 years.
