One injured in early morning single vehicle crash



At 6:18 a.m., Monday, Dec. 7, Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies, La. State Police, Natchitoches Regional Medical Center EMS, Natchitoches Parish Fire District #6 Rescue and NPSO Rescue responded to 911 reports of a single-vehicle crash involving injuries on Johnson Chute Road just north of Natchitoches.

According to LSP, Chase A. Carey, 23, of Natchitoches was operating a 2016 Dodge Ram pickup truck traveling eastbound on Johnson Chute Road when he left the roadway on the right side and travelled several feet striking a tree head-on.

Carey was wearing a seat belt.

He was transported from the scene by EMS to Natchitoches Regional Medical Center with what is believed to be moderate, non-life threatening injuries.
